Skateboarding, like all of man’s worthwhile endeavors, has its own designated cast of characters who have contributed immeasurably to its legacy. And while America’s new favorite pastime has certainly seen more than its fair share of time in the media’s spotlight recently, a large number of its elite have gone relatively unnoticed.
Yes, there are those whose names you may never see on the back of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 10 or bottles of hair care products, but who have nonetheless helped shape skateboarding’s past, present and future beyond imagining.
