Megan and Mason Wendell are The Method and Result. The two are also married, but that, says Megan (pronounced Mee-gan, for those of you reading aloud – ed.) isn’t really the point. “Sometimes people roll their eyes at the idea of us being a married couple. They think that maybe Mason just put me in the band ‘cause we were together. But really, that angle’s not that interesting to us even though people ask about it,” she says. “Always.”

She adds that some journalists have taken it upon themselves to guess at the state of the couple’s marriage based on the band’s live performances. “Someone actually wrote a review of one of our shows which was really strange,” she remembers. “The guy thought I was in a bad mood that night, even though I really wasn’t. He misinterpreted. He didn’t talk to me but he assumed things. But he implied that maybe my supposed bad mood was because Mason and I had been fighting or spending too much time in the van together. I think that people assume that affects the music. I guess it does but there are more pros to being in a band with my husband than there are cons.”
