I hardly knew what to expect going to the The Circulatory System play at the Tokyo Rose in Charlottesville this past November. I did know one thing—that the front-man of the Circulatory System, WIll Cullen Hart, was the same artist who had been the driving force behind the beautiful, yet now defunct Olivia Tremor Control (OTC).
Hart along with fellow musician Bill Doss had pioneered the Athen-based OTC, putting out two albums, Music From the Unrealized Film Script: "Dusk at Cubist Castle" and Black Foilage—amazing pieces of work prodeced from ther short-lived, yet much applauded mid-90's explosion into the indie-rock scene.
