Bat for Lashes
Fur and Gold
Echo

Natasha Khan (Bat for Lashes) hails from a family of which is a dynasty among squash players in Pakistan the Brighton based Khan decided to leave the racket laying down and took up her calling in life, which is obviously that of a mystic chanteuse with a voice of gold. Listening to Fur and Gold is like being real stoned and looking into a geode while moving it slowly. Having weathered comparisons to the likes of Bjork and Cat Power, Khan is a sister who is doing it for herself with a slew of seductive and psychedelic ballads with drizzling vintage organs and a palate that is shadowy and sparkling with lots of gushy droning and atmospherics of psychedelic drizzling. - Chris Pacifico (2007, The Daily Copper)
