Yeah, it really did suck when the Beta Band disbanded almost two years ago but behold, The Aliens. Featuring members John Maclean and Robin Jones of the said band along with Gordon Anderson (a.k.a. Lone Pigeon) the Aliens travel the galaxy from early sunshine British invasion (“Setting Sun”), super spacey ‘70’s funk (“Robot Man”), Urban Hymns-era Verve (“I am Unknown”), and super chic trip hop dub (“Rox”) all with a lounge laden space age bachelor pad feel complete with the shag carpet.
