25 Suaves
I Want it Loud
Bastard Sun

The loudest thing to come out of Adrian, MI since the hair dryers at the Adrian Beauty Academy, 25 Suaves grows on you slowly, then all at once. The band’s Motörhead-esque grind and growl almost never relents from the opening “Turn Up The Music” until the closing “Maybe You’re Right” (vintage independent label drum sounds on that one - which is cool). Other highlights include the epic sludge-a-thon (think Metallica’s take on Holocaust’s “The Small Hours”) “Born Dead” and the AC/DC-influenced “Give It Up.”

In so many ways a throwback to a time when metal was metal and men who were men and mister we could use a man like Lemmy once again, but in so many other ways a band of its time, ready and eager to have its music cranked until all the daisies in the local cemetery wilt and die and the headstones begin to rattle and break.
