Get it Wrong, It’s Alright
Solly

Former Perfect man Marc Solomon has joined up with some of his pals from Clumsy and delivered a fresh rock ‘n’ roll injection that calls to mind his former band mate Tommy Stinson’s raucous and devine Bash ‘n’ Pop with a twist of early Soul Asylum thrown in on the side. It’s a refreshing batch of brash, bold and melodic rock that’s not afraid to occasionally show its appreciation for bubblegum or Mott The Hoople, the Faces and that whole lot. Solomon has given us some great tunes here, including “Disproportioned,” “Waste A While” and the “Dead Flowers”-y “Dip In The Pool,” a tune that would be destined for radio in a time when radio still mattered. A record that goes beyond what you’d ever imagine and deserves our deepest attention. – Jedd Beaudoin
