Adrian Belew delivers the third and strongest installment in his Side series,
reintroducing listeners to the Prophet Omega (a character familiar from the
Young Lions album) on “Troubles,” revisiting his classic “Men
In Helicopters” and giving us new favorites such as “Incompetence
Indifference” and “Crunk.” Primus’ Les Claypool and
Tool’s Danny Carey reappear as well as do fellow Krimsons Robert Fripp
and Mel Collins. While this new outing may not contain the kind of revelatory
material that have endeared fans to albums such as Mr. Music Head and Here, Side
Three serves as evidence that Belew remains one of our most imaginative
and tireless guitarists. – Jedd Beaudoin (2006, The Daily Copper)
