Some would expect the first solo album from Daniel Agust, the main singer/songwriter of the cryptic and Icelandic ambient ensemble Gus Gus, to be a bit more electronica garnished but instead its more, uh, singer/songwriter-ish. Swallowed a Star has Agust spreading out his own creative wings with a slithering slab of delicate folk so chilled that his frostbitten lyrics can leave the listener with goose bumps.
